Meet our Staff

    Kathleen Alexander

Born in Galveston County I grew up spending most of my formative years on the heels of my Grandpa at "the cow pen."  At that time there were many small farms in the area that provided fresh meats, dairy, eggs and produce for their family and friends.  One of my fondest memories was the day he found me sitting on the fencing that separated the barnyard from the grazing area petting a bull's forehead.  I was very young and did not realize the danger and why bull's had nose rings.  The second most important person in my life is my Mom and her wondrous desire for travel, inevitably leading to camping trips every summer to various state and national forests and parks.  Thus my development, passion and respect for the environment and all outdoor activities.  I moved to Houston in 1969 and have pursued many different endeavors (too numerous to list) from corporate to the present having joined the staff at Houston Pro Pet Sitters.

I share my homestead with my beloved collie (Pinto), cats (Beau-Beau, Kitti-su, Buddy and Booh-ki), two aquariums, a koi pond, seven box turtles and all the "wildlife" that visit and reside in my native garden.  From my earliest memories I have been around all "creatures great and small" and feel qualified to share my life experiences with you and your special loved ones.

I was born in Ft Hood,Tx in1962. I currently reside in West U where I was raised. I went to West U Elementary, Pershing Jr.High, Lamar High School. My best friends are Grant and Jake, a collie and chocolate lab respectfully. I have held many positions in the corporate world which has allowed me to live in various cities through out the U.S. I love Houston and the people here. The many cultures that make up our city, makes Houston a great place to live. I love cats and dogs as I have always had them in my life and I have to say that the prospect of meeting many more while working at Houston Pro Pet Sitters is exciting and exhilarating. My hobbies include running and golf, basically anything outdoors. I look forward to the many " friends" I will be meeting in your homes

My love for dogs began when I was 6 years old.  My sister and I convinced our mom to let us adopt a Dalmatian puppy from the neighbor’s litter.  Her name was Toots after the movie Tootsie.  One morning we woke up to a surprise.  She had given birth to 14 puppies.  She decided early on the mama thing was not for her, so me, my mom and my sister hand fed all 14 from the time they were two weeks old.  It was an awesome experience and one which I will never forget.  There is nothing like getting to watch a newborn puppy grow up.  Growing up we always had a dog, but they were more than just dogs.  They were members of the family.  I have had all kinds of dogs, small breed, large breed and everything in between.  I have also had birds, small and large, domestic rats, guinea pigs, and mice.  I love all animals but I have a very big place in my heart for dogs.  My second most memorable experience would be the day I adopted my American bulldog Lucy.  I helped take care of her mother Gypsy and her litter of 8 pups.  Lucy came home with me after six weeks and it was love from day one.  She grew up to be 90 pounds of pure love.  The memories she gave me will last a lifetime.

My fiancé and I now have Maggie.  She is a 10-month-old Chinese Sharpei mix.  I remember the day he got her for me.  I was at work and he texted me a picture of her with the words, meet your new family member.  I was so excited I could hardly contain myself.  She was only 5 pounds and is now a 56-pound angel.  She is sweet, loyal, protective and everything I could want in a dog and more.

I am honored to be a part of the Houston Pro Pet Sitter team.  I know how hard it can be to leave your pet when you have to go out of town or go to work and leave them at home.  I promise to treat your animals with all the love and respect I would my own so you can have peace of mind while you are gone knowing they are well cared for. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hi, my name is Lance Dageford and I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota!  I recently moved to Houston and am excited to be starting this new chapter of my life.  I studied Biology at a private liberal arts college in a small town in southern Minnesota and am currently taking classes to fulfill the prerequisite requirements for a Masters in a Nursing Program.  I have a one-year-old Golden Retriever named Kipp, who I can honestly call my best friend.  He is able to make such a strong connection with everyone he licks, and plays an important role in my life. He was even able to be apart of my proposal!  My fiancé was accepted into the Texas Heart Institute School of Perfusion Technology, and I could not be more proud! Due to this accomplishment, we threw down our snow shovels, grabbed the sunscreen, and packed everything we could into our car for a two-day journey down south.  Leaving family and friends behind, it has really been our furry son that has made this journey so enjoyable.

I’m very excited to be apart of this organization and cannot wait to get to know you and your pets! I promise to respect your home and your pets and treat them as if they were my own!

I recently have changed career paths to being a professional dog walker / pet sitter. Being an animal lover, I have had the kind privilege of handling dogs, cats, birds, and even fish. I have volunteered at the local Houston SPCA, and am a current advocate against animal cruelty and their foes. Knowing that your pets are in the care of other people, I understand that you would expect professional, yet loving care as you treat them.

Since all pets, have their different personalities; you can rest assured that you pet will grow and adapt to my kindness and I look forward to any bond I can form with them as their dog walker / pet sitter. I am pleased to let you know that I enjoy being in the company of your pets and your pet will be treated as if my own! I am also a Christian; some of my hobbies include reading the bible, working-out, enjoy listening to music, being outdoors.

Find your passion in life, and never let that feeling get away.  Truer words have never been spoken.  You name it, and I have probably done it as a job!  Lifeguard, hotels, grocery, valet...  even the Army.  Throughout my life, I have always had a passion for sports.  Watching and playing sports is still a big part of my life today.  There has been a similar passion for animals since I was a little guy.  Until now, I never realized how I could take that to a whole new level.  I have the greatest job in the world!  My four legged "clients" have an unconditional love that shows every time I visit...

What could be better than seeing a smiling face, and a wagging tail every time you open a door?!  In a perfect world, every dog would have a home, and every home would have a dog!!!

Hello, my name is Karen and for as long as I remember I have been crazy about animals.  For many, many years I flew for an airline, traveling all over the world. It was very exciting visiting different countries and I thought it was the best thing that had ever happened to me.  What with being away so much there was just no way to have any pets at home. I did volunteer work for several animal rescue organizations, but I longed to have my very own angel!  Now I am retired from flying, and as they say, when one door closes, another one opens.  Then last year it happened, early one 32 degree morning, I found an abandoned little dog shivering in the bushes, inches away from heavy traffic.  I took one look at that tiny little face and it was love at first sight.  Her name is Sadie and she is now my best friend and the love of my life.  People have commented on how great it was that I rescued her, but I am certain it was the other way around.  Even though I had the most fantastic times in some of the most beautiful and exotic places, nothing has brought me more joy than this amazing little angel.  Without a doubt, she is the best thing to have ever happened to me and I wouldn't trade her for the world!

I can trace my whole life back through a series of dogs.  My first dog “Colby” was my very best friend. He came into my life when I was five years old. I can remember my mom picking me up from preschool saying “I have a surprise for you.” That dog and I clicked instantly.  He never left my side. Since then there has been Jonny, Hector, Harley, Bodhi and my current best friend, Bobby Sue. We love to hike, swim and just get outdoors!!

In general, I love all animals and promise to always treat you, your home and your pets with the respect you deserve. See ya soon!!!

I grew up in Houston and I love this city.  I enjoy the outdoors and take my dog Bobby Sue on all my adventures.  She has accompanied me everywhere from the tops of mountains, to lakes and rivers, and through deserts.  I will provide personalized care for your cats and dogs in your absence.  My purpose will be to keep your pets stress free and provide them with loving care while you are away.  I look forward to providing your pets and home with the love and respect they deserve.

Hi, my name is Patty and animals are my passion.  I have spent the last 20 years doing volunteer work in saving animals and working with various rescue organizations in Houston.  I foster, transport and help with pet adoptions and have helped 100’s of unwanted animals to their new forever homes.

I am originally from New Orleans and have been in Houston for the last 32 years.  I have a degree in finance and was president of a small financial services company.

I am married and have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren and 8 senior fur babies that were all rescues.  Senior dogs are so loving and often do not get out of the shelters.

I love working with animals and feel honored to be able to work with your pets and getting to know them and take care of them when you are unable to do that.  They will be treated with the love and respect that I would give my own animals.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take care of your precious babies.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and retired from Harris County.  In today's society with everyone's busy schedule, I feel that helping others care for their pets is not only very important but a privilege as well.  Although I am new to the Houston Pro Pet Sitters team, the experience and training I have received from the staff has been outstanding.  They have show me how important it is to always be professional, loving and caring towards each of our client's pets.  I realize the major responsibility of the task at hand and I am now ready to go out and be the employee that Houston pro pet Sitters and our clients expect.

I enjoy taking care of my daughter and her husband's two pets, Cooper (a Jack Russell Terrier) and Lucky (a Beagle mix).  How excited they both get when I pick up their leashes for their morning and afternoon walks and treats afterwards.  Confidence and trust are major factors when dealing with all clients and their pets.  You can not go wrong with Houston Pro Pet Sitters.  Your pets are your family and I am hoping to be a part of your pets' family too.  I am dedicated to care for your pets as though they are my own and I look forward to assisting with your needs
